My Pastor Climbed a Mountain…

And Deacon Greg beat me to the punch. Again. Sigh. This early bird needs to start looking for worms much earlier.

I–and our entire parish–am just very thankful that Monsignor Bognanno made it back in one piece. Our prayers were answered.

Catholic News Service has the story. Oh and Monsignor wasn’t kidding when he said,

“my idea of camping is a Motel 6 with black and white television.”

Please pray for him as he begins his radiation treatments. He is a holy and dynamic priests who has brought many souls to God.

  1. Deacon Greg is pretty fast on the blogosphere. But isn’t he in a different time zone? I will be praying for Monsignor.

  2. Susan Kehoe says:

Yes he lives in New York which is an hour ahead. But I get up between 4 and 5, so if I wasn’t so lazy and addicted to the Wall Street Journal, I could beat him. Maybe. Early birds who put off hunting for the worms don’t find many fat juicy ones.

Ah, but your comments are filled with womanly wisdom.
I read you, and the hubby, a Deacon Candidate, reads Deacon Greg, then reads the posts to me, so I get all the fruits of everyone’s labour! :D
